Proofreading: what I believe in
Some people call it branding and some people call it ethos. I feel it is who I am as a person and how I can support others through who I am. Hopefully, through contact with me, you can get a feel for what I believe in. Above all, I am caring, thoughtful and would do above and beyond for others. Here are my beliefs.
Love of learning!
Constantly striving to improve my own skills and knowledge. I am a trained freelance proofreader and would love to support your next project. I am continuously setting new learning targets and reflecting on my practice. What are you learning?
Teach and Empower others!
I have 17 years' experience in education, I am a qualified teacher and love teaching others new skills. Through my blog and comments during proofreading projects, I aim to empower others and pass on my skills. Hopefully making you a better writer.
Passion for reading!
I have worked with children for 17 years and love teaching reading. I am passionate about children developing a love of reading and parents reading daily with their children. I enjoy reading for myself and my business is allowing me to follow my dream and read every day. Check out my blog and take my reading challenge.
Champion for maths!
I have done a Maths degree and have an eye for figures and details. My children love maths too and I am always trying to convert others to find the joy in being organised and working with numbers. I see things visually and love having lists to plan out my tasks.
Thorough and analytical!
I approach tasks in an orderly and precise way with an analytical mind. My tutors' constructive criticism said I was too thorough. Is that a bad thing? I'll let you decide. I even found an error on the assignment that not even the tutors knew about, a numerical error, my favourite!
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
